The AI Across Industries series continues into 2024 with a look at how privacy and security intersect with the growing use of generative AI (GAI) tools.

Nancy Libin and David Rice, partners in our Privacy and Security practice, examined the privacy issues associated with the development and deployment of generative AI (including transparency; secondary use of data; data storage, security, sharing; and bias in data outputs), and discussed applicable legal obligations and best practices. They also covered how existing and emerging state, federal, and international laws impact generative AI technology, and discussed the industries that will be most impacted.
